This piece was created with acrylic paints on a blank wooden barrette
purchased from the crafts store. I was pretty pleased with the way
it turned out.

The title comes from a policy at SCA events and some SF conventions;
if you carry a sword or dagger with you, in most instances you must use
a cord of some kind to make sure the blade can't be drawn from its
sheath; the practice is called peace-bonding.
